Baylei Furman serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications and the Sports Information Director at Hawai‘i Pacific University. In this role, she oversees all media relations, statistical operations, website management, and social media strategy for HPU’s 16 NCAA Division II programs. She also serves as the on-air host of the HPU Athletics Radio Show.
A former collegiate volleyball player, Furman began her athletic journey at Moanalua High School before continuing her playing career at Hartnell College and Felician University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Humanities from Felician, where she also worked as a student assistant in athletics communications, laying the foundation for her future in sports information and media relations.
Furman spent two years as an assistant volleyball coach at Felician University, where she supported the development of student-athletes both on and off the court. Her well-rounded background as an athlete, coach, and communications professional brings a unique perspective to her leadership within the department.
Furman is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration with a focus on Leadership and Organization, further strengthening her expertise in strategic planning and organizational development within collegiate athletics.
